Grumpy
I had a great vacation. Now it’s back to work and I’m really grumpy. I didn’t sleep much the last two nights out and I didn’t sleep very much last night either, even though I was back in my own bed. So… I’m grumpy.
Ashland and the Shakespear Festival:
Dead Man’s Cell Phone was very entertaining. I liked it. Spiritual Dislocation. That one made me elbow the woman. I have believed in that idea for a long time but she had never heard it from anyone but me.
Equivocation was really good. I’d see that one again without a doubt.
Macbeth was actually kind of boring. I disliked the costumes. Satin World War II style uniforms just didn’t do it for me. I struggle to follow the dialog so I miss the layers of meaning. I’m glad I saw it, but it but not a repeater as far as I’m concerned.
Crater Lake:
Snow. Big surprise but as it was on the way, it was nice to take a break and relax.
Sisters:
The lodge was nice. The bed sucked. The massage, sauna, and whirlpool was nice. The bed sucked. Watching episodes of Star Trek was nice. And… the bed sucked. It was too hard and the cover too heavy. I kept waking up with really weird dreams. The woman said about the same. Neither of us slept very well at that place.
Back home:
The KTM is back in the garage after a trip for service to fix that leak. There isn’t a sight glass to check the oil level on that bike. It’s a tube mounted on the outside of the oil tank. It was cracked and leaked everytime I worked the motor. That’s fixed. Scott has the FJR. I have his mini-ute. Tomorrow, after work, I’m meeting him at his office. We are going to disappear for a few hours on a ride. I’ll be on the SuperDuke and he’ll be on the FJR. The goal is just to ride and work out the kinks. We are planning on hitting Bull Run and doing the Klickitat loop then home.
Next weekend we are planning on doing a 600 mile-ish ride to test stamina.
Back to work:
I spent most of the day and most of this evening fighting with the ribbon control in WPF. It is very frustrating. Maybe that’s why I’m grumpy.
I think I will go to bed nice and early tonight and exile the kitties.
I need a vacation.
