I’m researching MVC Design patterns at work. I’ve got working code buried in a Excel Ribbon. I need to migrate that code out of the Ribbon in to a new WinForm. It sounds like a simple cut-n-paste. Maybe.
After staring at the linked chain of functions, I knew simply migrating the code would be a bad long term decision. How can anyone maintain this, if I can’t even figure out what it is really doing?
I’ve been reading a lot on Domain-Driven Designs, using patterns and TDD. One big void in our testing schemas in my team is the lack of UI testing. I think MVC would work. I can create cleaner code that is easier to understand and leverage. I think… If I can improve my understanding of MVC, this might actually work.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more
PS: Ear Infection isn’t abating. The cold I picked up isn’t helping. Feels like me eyeballs are popping right out of me noggin with all of the sinus pressure.
