Ringing
I picked an ear infection last week. It it rather hard on Friday night. I tried to hide it but I am sure I was kind of bitchy to everyone around me. All I can hear out of my left ear is a constant ringing.
Work has been in overdrive, which is probably why my body stopped cooperating. I don’t have the drive to work more than 9 hour days with the occasional 11 hour day thrown into the mix. Occasional being the operative word. I worked 11 today and 11 yesterday. I expect the rest of the week, except Friday will be 11 hour or longer days unless I get the first prototype working from end-to-end. The deadline is approacing very, very fast and this has to work. It is 02:00 and I couldn’t sleep. I went to bed around 23:30 then read until around 00:30. I got up at 01:30 with thoughts of getting my VPN clinet reinstalled. I am downloading more software from Microsoft to make my life a little easier. So far, I have installed Virtual PC 2007 and Windows 2003 Server as a virtual machine. I need to add Exchange and get an instance of Active Directory up and running if possible. In the very short term, I will back up this instance once it is fully patched. Then I can install the VPN software and attempt to connect to the remote network at the office.
Alas, I am finally starting to feel tired. So I will go back to bed before I miss this opportunity.
