Pain / The end is in sight
That’s the constant theme these days.
Work completed:
- Put up all of the new office shelving/furniture.
- Assembled both new office chairs.
- More stuff put away in the garage.
- Buttressed the hanging closet in the garage then rolled my 500 pound cart of books into the closet. Do you think I’m kidding about the weight? I unloaded 6 moving boxes at 80+ lbs a piece and the damn thing still has space on it.
- Lawn mowed and I didn’t have to do it! I hung around to restart the mower and empty the grass catcher.
- I sanded 80% of the bedroom walls on Sunday. (Removing wall paper sucks.)
- Last night I removed the desk and shelving on the west wall. All of the trim is now gone. I want to remove one last door than there will be zero trim on the walls in the bedroom.
Goals for tonight:
- Move all of the take-offs downstairs and prep them for disposal: trash can full of trim, desk parts, shelf assembly, etc.
- Vacuum the entire room and most of the walls. There are nails and sheetrock dust EVERYWHERE!
- Spackle!
If I can get those three things done tonight, I’ll be thrilled and relieved with my progress. I might even take tomorrow night off. I’ve already scheduled Friday off from work so I can make a big push this weekend. Once the walls are primed, I can move the furniture in. We don’t have very much to move and the frame bed is coming from Ikea.
Next Steps:
- Migrating the kitchen.
- Migrating the computers.
- Move all of the drum/music related equipment into the drum room to clear the way for the home theater and the piano.
- Do some laundry!
- Sleep?
