NetFlix – Gone
BMG – Gone

I have grown tired of being hassled with reminders and monthly charges for services I am not using to the fullest. So, I have started canceling services that I don’t know that I have to have. Getting rid of my PDA and it’s $120 monthly chage for service might be a challenge but I am thinking about it… Can the CS Geek disconnect? (Doubt it.)

So how do I classify this post? Anti-lust? Nope! I still want a supermoto bike. Which means I need to get rid of my DL.

Anyone what to buy a DL-1000? It’s in good shape.

Drop events:

  • I dropped it once on the should if I-5 north of Seattle when I didn’t get the sidestand down fast enough. It just slowly rolled over on to the Givi crash guards.
  • I dropped it on the Barlow Trail which is an old wagon trail originally used to cross Mt Hood without having to manage the Gourge. I bent the right rear brake lever, when I bent it back the tip of the snapped off. I lost about 1/2 inch of lever, after I ground it down to a smooth curve. I actually like the shorter level, so I never replaced it. I must have blipped the throttle coming off a burm during a slow climb. The bike swapped ends and I ended up standing up with the bike between my legs. Odd event. That’s when I learned why people like to wear motocross boots when trail riding. When the bike dropped, my right ankle rolled out and I torn a ligament which took over a year to heal. My ankles still pop in new and exciting ways…
  • And I dropped it at the end of my street when I changed tires and forgot to reset the brake pads before rolling off. I was going fast enough to not drag my feet, but I scratched the crash guards and the right hand guard. Of course I did this little dance in front of a road construction crew and a bunch of people stopped for the flagger, which was why I didn’t jsut roll through the intersection. I would have hit someone. So I dropped the bike.

Regular oil changes with Castol R4 synth, Givi crashbars, Givi 37 & 45 liter hard cases with Givi liners and mounting hardware, heated grips, Power Commander III, lead for a battery tender, modulator rear taillight kit (left and right brake lights flash with the turn signals, all LED turns signals, power socket, tank bra, center stand, blacked out pipes, etc.

Somewhere I have a set of Busa bog bones that lower the bike about an inch…

I hadn’t really thought about everything I have tweaked on this bike for me. Hmm…
