Ugh
I took yesterday off to deal with the move. Today, I’m tired, in pain, and in need of about 20 hours of sleep… Ugh.
That’s about all I can say at the moment.
I have to survive today at the office. I have already rolled out some new code so my deliverables are minimal for the rest of the day. I need to parse through thousand of rows of database schema data, looking for a linkage between an employee ID and the department listings. I have the employee’s job title, but not the department they work for. It should be obvious, but… obviously it isn’t. The data isn’t normalized, so I have to skim through over 150 tables looking for a hint of the data I need. Not brain-dead work, but damn close!
This weekend will be dominated by settling into my apartment, attempts at more sleep, and finishing up the migration. I still have to move some stuff out of the basement, about a half dozen boxes from upstairs, and all of my office furniture.
I still want to burn some fuel… Maybe I will get a chance some time soon…
