Progress?

In bed, laptop on… my lap. It has been a long day. I am exhausted but I am still awake and not really interested in sleeping just yet. NPR is playing on the clock radio. I don’t even have a stereo in my apartment, nor do have any kitchen stuff unpacked. The spice box is on the counter still taped shut. Laundry supplies are in a box or got migrated to the woman’s place. I need to restock everything. My frig contains 3 organic apples, 13 bottles of water and half of a 20 oz Pepsi. That’s it. Plus a baking soda box. Yeah, right. That’s really it.

That’s kinda how I feel, mostly tasteless, with a few cheap calories on the side.

I can’t get my wireless to connect. Of course, I am stealing bandwidth. I need to order some kind of broadband service as soon as possible. I had Qwest before, and before that I had Verizon. For some reason I don’t want a contract. Go figure.

A reboot fixed my wireless problem.

I am trying to get my coding finished at work. I went home after 17:30, a 12hr day. After work, I went over to Five Star to take care of a couple outstanding issues. I picked up a Marshall cabinet. I traded in my Epiphone Les Paul Goth and my Line 6 AX2 212 amp. I still need to pick up the Epi Les Paul Elitist. Maybe I will get around to doing that tomorrow.

This weekend I need to work on my apartment. I guess everything is a toss up. I have to get this project finished and nothing else is as high of a priority. But I still need to sleep. I still need to get my apartment setup. I still need to move the rest of the way out of the woman’s place. I still have to work on those “other” issues that prompted the move in/out the first place. I want to go for a ride, maybe disappear for a few days before the snow starts to fall. It reminds me of rides I used to take with Laura. She was always up for some crazy lit’ adventure. Last year, I didn’t have any responsibilties so skipping out was easy enough to manage… That was last year. Now she’s sailing somewhere in the South Pacific. I am working full-time and struggling to stay semi-sane.

I’m tired… Time to crash. Hopefully I can resolve the problems with my code so I can have a chance to relax this weekend. If not, then oh well.
