Numb
Here I sit. Multi-tasking in the middle of a code standards meeting. I have SQL Server 2005 Developer edition installing, 3 different ActiveState packages downloading, and occationally adding my 2-cents to the on going discussion of coding standards. Ugh.
I wanted to mountain bike tonight. The forecast is for rain.
I need to get moved out of my apartment. I think I’m only a couple hours away from having all of my stuff moved into the garage.
I still haven’t saddled up much lately. I’m tired. Life was so much simpler when I wasn’t working, doing my own thing (Read: Broke, lonely, and generally living outside society). No it wasn’t. I just had more time to brun on fulfilling my whims and very little motovation to do tangable things. Now, I have a life, a job, responsibilities.
School started up again last week. The woman picked up my books yesterday, so I can start my assignments (one week late).
This last weekend, I spent considerable time trying to get a work space setup (See: School started again). My main development computer didn’t survive the move. The primary RAID crashed. I tracked the problem down to a bad SATA cable. After fixing that issue, the array had to be rebuilt. The result of the rebuild is a corrupt System file in Windows. SFP. Unless, I can restore the file from some other source, I get the pleasure of rebuilding the O/S. The avoidence of which is the entire f’ing point of using a RAID setup in the first place. Argh!
So here I am. Waiting for topic of interest to arise in the discussion…
